It draws data from the tissue database held at the University of Canberra, verified records from museum collections, data from published accounts and records supplied by registered herpetologists.Species names should follow those listed by Georges and Thomson (2010) in Zootaxa (with the exception of Elseya novaeguineae). Please only enter data where the identity of the taxa is certain. All locality data taken by GPS (in decimal degrees) and should be verified to the extent that is possible using Google Earth. Data where the species identity or the locality data are uncertain will be omitted. On entering the data, you agree to place it in the public domain. Data will appear in the database only after validation, so please be patient.
